Stadium Cash

Armory and items

  • Before every round you shop in the Armory for a limited time; Blizzard cut it to 75 seconds in rounds 1 and 3 and to 60 seconds in round 2.

  • You can carry up to six items and sell any of them for what you paid.

  • There are weapon items for weapons without cooldowns, ability items for abilities with a cooldown or ult charge, and survival items for health, speed and the like.

  • Gadgets came in Season 19: items with an active effect and a cooldown, used with their own key (3 on keyboard, up on the d-pad). You can carry one.

  • Rarities are common, rare and epic; common is the cheapest. Most items fit every hero, some belong to one hero only.

Builds and share codes

  • Since Season 17 you can keep 10 builds for each hero in the Stadium Forge in the practice range and pick them in the Armory.

  • A build can be shared as a code that stays valid for up to a year. Builds of other players in a match and builds from replays can be copied too.

  • Every Stadium hero has example builds, sorted into early, late and flex items.

Hero draft

Stadium ranks

  • Stadium has its own ranks: seven leagues, from Rookie through Novice, Contender, Elite, Pro and All-Star up to Legend, each with divisions 5 to 1.

Source: Patch notes 22 Apr 2025
  • Each role has its own Stadium rank, and there are no placement matches.

  • Wins give Stadium Points. At launch a loss cost nothing in Rookie and Novice, a little in Contender and Elite, and from Pro on about as much as a win brought.

Source: Patch notes 22 Apr 2025
  • Since Season 18 the points per match depend on your current and your expected rank, and a lost match still pays for every round you won.

Source: Patch notes 26 Aug 2025
  • Groups are limited from Pro upward: Pro within 15 divisions, All-Star within 10, Legend within 5.

Source: Patch notes 26 Aug 2025
  • A new season no longer starts everyone at the bottom: Contender starts in Novice, Elite in Contender, Pro in Elite, All-Star and Legend deeper in Elite (5, 10 or 15 divisions lower).

  • Every Stadium win gives 10 Competitive Points.
